IFAK Institut was established in 1958 by Doctor of Sociology Gudrun Ketels and her husband Andreas Ketels in Wiesbaden, Germany.
In 1966 IFAK Institut has been recognized as one of Germany's largest private research company, operating in the ad-hoc, with annual sales of more than 9 million German marks. In the same year, the company entered into an international network of ESOMAR, as well as the association of BDM.
IFAK Institut begins to conduct research in the field of media communications, which are still one of the main areas of our business.
IFAK Institut was acquired by Jens and Martina Winicker, today's owners and top managers of the agency.
2001 — IFAK Institut moved to its own building in Taunusstein, 30 km from Frankfurt-am-Main. Now all the research departments under one roof. The company employs 150 professionals from various fields of research.
In IFAK Institut was developed the methodology of testing ads with Eye-tracking technology and conducted the first study of biometric Eye-tracking test.
In 2000s IFAK Institut was one of the first to develop the trend of online research. In the early 2000s, IFAK Institut together with partners opens the company Respondi, which specializes in online panels. Following the success of the development of this area, the company carries out the launch of a series of studies using a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). This direction is now one of the most sought after.
IFAK Institut opens the Ukrainian office in Kiev, which brings to market the best achievements of German researchers and local expertise.
